We are very proud to celebrate the distinction awarded to Prof. Jacques Felblinger, former director of our laboratory, who has been named French Honorary Member of the SFR (French Society of Radiology) at JFR 2026.
This recognition crowns a career defined by technological innovation and its transfer to the clinic. It also highlights a quality that particularly defines Jacques: his ability to bring people together. Throughout his career, he has united teams with diverse profiles around shared projects, contributing greatly to the scientific influence of Nancy.
A visionary and a builder, Jacques created from scratch two entities that are now essential: the IADI Laboratory and the CIC-IT Nancy. Born of his initiative and perseverance, these structures have become pillars of research and innovation in imaging.
Beyond his achievements, we also want to emphasize his commitment to passing on knowledge. A attentive mentor, he has always placed his trust in young researchers and guided future generations of researchers, in a true culture of mentorship.
Through the IADI Laboratory and the CIC-IT Nancy, we hope to sustain his work over the long term and, in the spirit he instilled, continue developing research that is collaborative, open, and patient-focused.
