Diagnostic and Interventional Adaptive Imaging

In the “women’s imaging” research area, the laboratory is developing tools for women-specific MRI adaptations.

The first objective is to improve breast cancer screening with MRI. We are proposing a new paradigm in which MRI scans are performed on the back. This will enable the examination to be carried out under the same conditions as for breast biopsy and surgery, and will also make it more comfortable for patients.

The second objective is to develop MRI to monitor pregnancy. MRI could improve the monitoring of pregnancies by enabling more precise characterization of biometric measurements and placental function.
